Christina Rose Guinasso

–

Seattle, WA

It is with deep sadness that I announce the passing of my beloved Mother, Christina Rose Guinasso. Mom went home to be with her Lord on July 26, 2020.

She will be greatly missed by all that were blessed to have known her. Many of you may remember her by her married name Christina Torres. She was born on July 18, 1946 to Charles and Rose Guinasso in Seattle Washington. She was one of nine children that brought life, love and joy to a wonderful Italian household in Rainier Valley know at the time as Garlic Gulch. She attended Mt. Virgin Grade School and along with the rest of the family grew strong in the Catholic Faith as Parishioners at Mt. Virgin Church. She attended Immaculate Conception High School where she had wonderful times with the Holy Names Nuns and made friendships that lasted a lifetime.

After marrying my Father Hugo Torres, Mom brought me into this world and both of our lives were blessed beyond measure. Mom worked many years at Meredith's 10 cent store in Magnolia Village while she put me through 12 years of Catholic Education as a single mom. She later worked at Bartell Drugs in Magnolia. She loved working with the public and seeing her family and friends come in the store. Later in life as health issues started showing up Mom retired and her and I continued to live together. It was such a blessing having Mom in my life and having so much time with her. I am so grateful to God for that. Mom loved all of her family very much. Her Mom, Dad,brothers and sisters meant the world to her. She loved and was loved by all her nephews and nieces and great nephews and nieces. Of course I was the most blessed to have had the kind of love from my mother that could only have come from God himself. She was the greatest gift God ever gave me.

My Mom will be remembered most for making people laugh and feel good. Her sense of humor and antics brought happiness and joy to so many that she touched.

She will be remembered for her love, compassion, and charity that she showed to all that met her. Heaven has just opened it's gates to the life of the party - My Mom.

I love you Momma and I miss you so much. Thank you for being the greatest mom a guy could ever ask for. Save a place for me at the table. In the meantime, I know you will be dancing with Grandpa (your " little pitsaning") and trying to make the boys let you sit in on a game of pinnocle. Rest In Peace Momma. I can't wait to see you again. Love Eternally, your "Be Be Boy"
