William Thomas Short

–

Seattle, Washington

Dad loved reading the obituaries - this one's for you Dad! Bill Short and Marjorie Mansheim met at Sunday School. Dad graduated from Kent High School in 1942 (are you reading this Bill Stewart?). Dad served our country as a Radioman in the Navy in WWII. After returning home from Guam, Mom and Dad enjoyed dancing to the big bands at the Spanish Castle. They were married for 62 years. He missed her dearly as she passed away on his last birthday. They were very active in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Parish throughout their lives with Dad serving as a Lector for many years. After returning from an Oregon family vacation where he played 18 holes of golf and hit 3 casinos, Dad passed away peacefully in his home - actively living life up to his very last day. Dad loved his family, football, golf, mowing the lawn, walking and the outdoors. He had a great sense of humor, a positive attitude and a twinkle in his loving blue eyes. Dad is survived by 2 sisters, 5 children, 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. We hope he is enjoying champagne with Mom in heaven. We will really miss you Dad - we love you so much!!! All our love - the Kids - Pam, Bill, Colleen, Laura and George.
