Virginia M. Venable Obituary (1923

Born in Seattle, July 22, 1925, the only child of Richard and Margaret Ferulano. She died peacefully on January 3, 2012. Virginia was treasured for her open, loving personality and generosity of spirit. During her adult life, she was a tireless volunteer at Christ the King and St. Mark parishes and last and longest at St. Luke parish. Room parent, Campfire Girls, Thanksgiving baskets, school auctions, parish council, St. Vincent de Paul Society or grandchildren needing cookies--she was there. Virginia is survived by Harold Venable, her beloved husband of 64 years, and her children, Jennifer Boyle, Judy Venable (Markus Hallensleben), Pam Reuhl (Steve), Mike Venable (Sue) and Carol Yund. She also leaves grandchildren Anthony Venable, Brianna Venable, Adam Reuhl, David Reuhl (Taylor), Christopher Boyle, Daniel Boyle, and Gina Hallensleben. And, her children's many friends to whom she was Second Mom. She was pre-deceased by her son-in-law, Michael Boyle. A rosary will be said on Thursday, January 12 at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, January 13th at 11:00 a.m. with a reception following. All ceremonies will be held at St. Luke Catholic Church, 322 N. 175th St., Shoreline. Internment at Holyrood Cemetery will take place after the reception. In lieu of flowers, the family would be grateful for contributions to the St. Vincent de Paul Society of St. Luke Parish, 322 N. 175th St., Shoreline, WA. 98133.
