Thomas Duffy TEICHMANN Thomas Duffy Teichmann was born September 21, 1933 in New Orleans, Louisiana. He died surrounded by his beloved family September 22, 2014 in Seattle, Washington. Tom is survived by Heloise "Jackie" Teichmann, his loving wife of 55 years, and his three daughters Kerri (and husband Thomas Specker) of Los Angeles, CA, Tami (and husband Stephen Ferrando) of Carlsbad, CA, and Amy (and husband Klane White) of Seattle, WA. He was the very proud grandfather and great-grandfather to: Darren Roy, and his daughter Kalla; Anthony and Nicholas Ferrando; Terese Specker; and Madeline and Susannah White. Tom graduated from Louisiana State University in 1955 with a BS in mechanical engineering. He worked in industrial instrumentation for Johnson Controls starting in Jackson, Mississippi, before moving his young family to California in 1961. An astute businessman, he founded Cataract Engineering and Construction in 1978, and later Nova Power Inc., retiring after a long and successful career in 1996. In 2013, he and Jackie relocated to the Pacific Northwest to spend their golden years. An avid tennis player and snow skier, Tom passed many of his days at Los Caballeros Sports and Racquet Club, and up in the mountains of Colorado. When not on the court or the slopes, he could be found grinning proudly while enjoying time with his family and many friends. Ever a son of New Orleans, Tom always knew how to have a good time, living by the saying "Laissez les bons temps rouler!"
