Susan Kay Fitzpatrick

Age 64, of Kirkland, WA, passed away on Monday, February 19, 2018 peacefully in her sleep, she was surrounded by her family.

Born October 15, 1953, in Seattle, she was the daughter of Donald & Louise Bullington. The oldest of four siblings, she grew up on Beacon Hill. She attended Maple Elementary, ASA Mercer Jr. High and Cleveland High School. After high school she attended Highline Community College where she studied general studies and art.

She was a beautiful artist. She used her talents and worked at her father's bakery, Marvin's Bakery. She went on to work for Safeway for over 40 years as a cake decorator. There she met her husband of 41 years Andrew Fitzpatrick.

They were married on September 25, 1976 at St. Joseph's Parish in Seattle. They purchased their first home in Kirkland and later that year welcomed their first child. They moved to the Rose Hill neighborhood and raised four children over the last 40 years.

Sue was a woman of strong Catholic Faith, and was a member of the Holy Family Parish. She was a loving mother, home maker, devoted loving wife, Nonnie, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She made holidays, birthdays, and weddings very special for all.

Those who loved her were blessed to share one of her chocolate eclairs, easter egg cakes, birthday cakes, cupcakes, or wedding cakes. She loved spending time with her family at the beach house on Vashon Island where she would comb the beaches for agates and shells.

Susan was a loving mother to Hillary Fitzpatrick, (Brad), Katie Kalamakis (Travis), Angie Mader (Ben), Andrew D. (Caroline). She was a loving Nonnie to 7 grandchildren, Payton, Siena, Sophia, Tyson, Jackson, Benjamin, & Rylan. A loving sister to siblings Sally Giesler (Robert), Sheila Miller (Michael). Preceded in death by her father Donald Bullington, her loving sister, Stacy Kalina; and grandparents Louis & Angie Bianchi

Funeral Mass will be held
Saturday, February 24th, at 11:00 am at Holy Family Catholic Church 7045 120th Ave NE, Kirkland, 98033
Interment, Holyrood Cemetery.
