Sara Rebecca (Roberts) COLLINS Born January 8, 1927 in Portland, OR; died January 2, 2015, peacefully at her home in Redmond, WA, joining John Edward Collins, her loving husband of 62 years. Survived by sister Geneva MacMillan (Ron), sister-in-law Pauline Roberts, children John Jr. "Jake," Nicholas (Amy), Jeanie Boddy (Gary), Casey (Lynn), Andrew, Monica Manning (Joseph), Theresa, Matthew (Angela), William (Lizette), Paul, Timothy (Joanna), Daniel (Elizabeth), David (Sarah), Maria Lowery (Carter), 36 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents John A. Roberts (Leonore Marie), sisters Mary Dunham (Roger) and Dorothy Hurley (James), brother John A. Roberts, Jr. "Jack" and daughter Suzanne Louise. Sara was a graduate of Holy Names Academy ('44), attended Marquette University and graduated from Seattle University ('48), where she was a member of the women's ski team. She was recreational director of Sacred Heart Villa Academy, Seattle and taught at Curlew Elementary & High School. In 1950 she married John and together they raised 15 eternally grateful children. She was a long-time parishioner at Holy Family Kirkland (where she directed a memorable production of A Christmas Carol) and St. Cecilia in Stanwood. Ever optimistic, patient and kind, she loved her family, friends and faith. May she rest in peace.
