Rosemary CLARK
1927-2015
Rosemary passed away January 8, 2015, Seattle, WA at the age of 87.
Born and raised in Portland, Oregon on August 9, 1927, to Josip and Anna (Ancich) Lautz, Rosemary was first generation Croatian-American, with a singing voice that made everyone smile. A graduate of Immaculata Academy (1945) she would wed Tom Clark, June 16, 1951, at Blessed Sacrament Parish (Portland). They would relocate to Federal Way, WA (1969), where Tom's job with Weyerhaeuser would take the family. While she worked off and on for various federal agencies (US Forest Service/GSA), Rosemary dedicated her life to her family, raising 5 children who survive her: daughter, Anne Olsen; and four sons: Fr. Timothy Clark, Sean, Patrick (Karen), and Kevin (Tracy).
She was also a loving "gammy" to seven grandchildren: Brieanne, Kyle, Justin, Erika, Taylor, Maddy and Lauren. Rosemary was preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years in August 2003. Her brother Vic Lautz survives her (San Diego, CA). Rosemary was a wonderful mother, fabulous singer, baker-extraordinaire (we miss the Christmas cookies!), who raised roses that a florist would envy. Know that we love and miss you and that "dreams that you dare to dream really do come true."
She now is with Dad, and makes her way into the paradise of God's presence where she belongs. All of our love -- your family.
A Mass of Christian Burial and
Celebration of her life will be held at
Our Lady of the Lake, Seattle, WA,
Friday, January 16th, at 10:30 a.m., with a reception to immediately follow.
Interment will be at Gethsemane Catholic Cemetery, Federal Way. Please make memorials to Catholic Community Services at 1-800-499-5979 or http://www.ccsww.org.
