Petra Maria Murphy

Petra graced us with her beautiful friendship and undaunted optimism. She exemplified making the best of all life gave her, the glass-half-full woman. With her contagious smile and ready laugh, Petra made friends easily and quickly. Petra graduated from Eastside Catholic HS in 1987, spent two years at Bellevue College, worked several years at Gene Juarez Northgate, married in 1995 and mothered Sean in 1996. After her husband's death in 2003, she moved to Ballard, worked and then volunteered at the Ballard Community Center, and later participated on the Ballard Recreation Advisory Council.

Remembering Petra are Sean Murphy; parents, Don and Lynn Murphy; sister, Moya Zaboukos (Troy); brother, Brehan Murphy; nieces, Sophia and Alexandra; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins, and many dear friends including her beloved St. Joseph's community.

Remembrances can be made to Eastside Catholic High School Options Program
or Jubilee Women's Center.

Vigil will be held at 7pm May 7th,
Funeral Mass at 10am May 8th, Reception following, BOTH at
St. Joseph's Catholic Church,
