Pat was born on September 21, 1941 in Vancouver B.C. to Hugh "Spud" Murphy and Jean Stirling Murphy. Pat lived in Vancouver B.C. until the family moved to Seattle, WA in 1948. She attended Model School in Vancouver as well as B.F. Day, Latona, St. Benedicts, Blanchet, and Lincoln High School in Seattle.
She represented Miss Anne's 45th St. Apparel in Wallingford as one of the Seafair Princesses of 1959. They lived for a short time in Seattle before Tom built their home of 48 years in Alderwood Manor.

Pat was a beauty with endless energy and an inexhaustible generous soul.
She sprinkled her bubbly personality, creativity, kind thoughtful heart, and exuberance for life, and giving on everyone she ever met and doubly so on her family. She was a wickedly good dancer, devoted homemaker and legendary baker. Most of all Pat loved little people and gave all children in her sphere a magical, nurturing environment to learn and thrive.
She and Tom and their son, Alex loved the outdoors, enjoying fishing and camping with their loved ones, and Barbershop Quartet Circle in their home on wheels around Washington State and Canada. They also loved to visit Pat's family in the British Isles.
