Orma Marnet Nesheim Obituary (1917

Orma, 93, joined her beloved Halvor in death August 20, 2010. She was born March 19, 1917 to Marie and Martin Johnson of Palermo, N. Dakota. She was raised on the farm were she loved to ride her horse. She had one brother, Gordon. After her 8th grade country schooling, she went to Stanley for High School where she participated in basketball, church choir and country dances at Epworth where she met her future husband. After one year at Trinity Nurses Training, she married Halvor. Their children are Patricia (Paul), Gwen (Bill), Kelly (Maria), and Mark (Noel); eight grand children and eleven great grandchildren. Her life work was homemaking and helping her husband with bookkeeping for his electrical contracting business & later beekeeping & farming. She joined him in church activities, boy scouts, camping, skiing, Scandinavian dancing, traveling, and loved to visit with her friends and neighbors. Her home was a cozy place to gather. She played the piano well enough to accompany singing. She was an excellent seamstress. They built their home in West Seattle but kept ties to North Dakota as well. They were married for 66+years.
