Nhanh Thi Le Obituary (1953 - 2020)

Nhanh Thi Le passed away at the age of 68 on Tuesday, December 16th, 2020 at 4:28 p.m. from complications brought on by COVID-19. In life, Nhanh loved gardening, fishing, camping and spending time with her grandchildren. She cooked the most amazing meals and enjoyed sharing them with those around her. She was a woman of strong faith and devoted most of her life serving as a member of the Seattle Cao Dai Temple. Nhanh grew up in rural Tay Ninh, Vietnam and was married at 18. In the 1980s, she immigrated to the U.S. due to poor living conditions brought on by the post-Vietnam war communistic regime. She trekked on foot with two young children from Vietnam through Cambodia to Thailand where she spent five years in a refugee camp. In 1989, she finally arrived in the U.S. and had to build her life from scratch in a foreign country. Through sheer will and strength, she single-handedly raised and supported six children. Throughout her life, Nhanh battled a host of health conditions that left her physically weak, but she never let that stop her from being the most loving mother and grandmother. She will always be known for her grit and determination. Nhanh is preceded in death by her father Do Thanh Le, mother Kim Thi Nguyen, and daughter Nguyet Thi Pham. She is survived by her children Tan, Huong, An, Hien, Rosemary and her seven grandchildren. Funeral service will be held on January 2nd, 2021 at 10 a.m. at Columbia Funeral Home. Only immediate family is invited to the in-person service due to Coronavirus-related restrictions. Monetary donations will not be accepted.
