Michaela "Mickey" O'Neill Anderson Obituary (1956 - 2015)

Michaela O'Neill ANDERSON Mickey died unexpectedly on Friday, April 17, in Seattle. She was born at Providence Hospital on May 9, 1956 to Robert and Barbara O'Neill. She grew up in Seattle, graduating from Blanchet and the University of Washington as a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma. Mickey started a successful career at Nordstorm before choosing to stay at home to raise her four boys in West Seattle. The family moved to Fairwood and after all four of her boys were in school, she resumed her career with the Kent School District. She worked in the athletics department for 15 years as the consummate professional, working tirelessly to keep athletics in the district running successfully. Her greatest accomplishment was her family. She is survived by her husband Gary, her sons Gavin, Matt (Amanda), Zach (Tati) and Will along with grandchildren Madeleine, Alyssa, Jack, Jacob and Luci. She is also survived by her sister Maureen and brothers Patrick and Gerard. Mickey's family is extremely proud of her generosity and the legacy she will leave as an organ donor.
