Marie Reilly ANDERSON Marie, loving mother and wife, passed away in her sleep on December 17, 2009. She is survived by her husband Roy Anderson of 59 years, her brother Leo, her children Paul, Jean and Salley and her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Marie was born in 1924 in Spokane, Washington and graduated from Ballard High School. She obtained her teaching degree from Washington State University, but postponed her professional career to raise her family. After her children had grown, she enjoyed teaching for a number of years at Bates Technical College in Tacoma. She was a devoted parishioner of St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Gig Harbor for more than 60 years and enjoyed her participation with her friends in church and other volunteer activities. Always a smile, always a good laugh, always the best pie in town. A celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, December 22, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Gig Harbor with luncheon reception following.
