Maria-Ioana Siva Obituary (1930

Born: May 7, 1930 Our beloved mother, who resided in Seattle Washington for 40 years, had a long battle with her illness and has gone to rest in the hands of our Lord on Friday, March 7, 2008 at 6:30pm, at the age of 77. She left peacefully at the hands of her children, along with the beautiful songs she loved to hear. Mother was preceded in death by her son, Talaatoga John Leatualii Siva- 1999, her late husband, Reverend Alofa Tauutoa Leatualii-1978 and daughter, Goreti Siva-1951. She is survived by sisters, Lusia Ma'afala, Katerina Faletoi, Katherine Tuitek and Iusitina Ketu'u, brother John Matuatala Fuamatu, all from Honolulu, Hawaii. Her sons, Mike E. Siva (Sharon) of West Seattle, WA, Tauatoa Alofa R. Siva (Marie) of Auburn, WA, Peyton R. Siva, Sr. of Kent, WA and Julian E. Siva of Lynnwood, WA. Her daughters; Elizabeth L. Saleaumua of Seattle, WA, Lusia Brown (Don) of Bellingham, WA, Katarina A. Ieru of Ewa Beach, Hawaii, JoAnn Maga (Tone) of Tukwila, WA and Erlinda G. Siva Vivao (Joseph) of Seattle, WA. She leaves behind 33 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 3 on the way, numerous nieces and nephews, family and dearest friends. Services begin at 5 PM Friday, March 21, and main service 9 AM Saturday, March 22, all at First Samoan Congregational Church, 8447 Renton AVE S, Seattle.
