Louise Marie Caddy

–

Seattle, Washington

Born 3/11/1930 in Chandler, Colorado, passed away in Seattle on 3/13/2008 after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. Louise moved to Seattle at the age of 12 and graduated from Immaculate Conception High School. She was a Princess on the Sons of Italy float in the very first Seafair parade. She single-handedly started the library at Holy Rosary grade school and later was the librarian at Holy Rosary High School. She also assisted in teaching English as a Second Language. Louise took exceptional pride and joy in preparing and hosting large family feasts. A devout Catholic, her great joys were her family, friends, reading, gardening and supporting the Mariners and Seahawks. She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph and brother Dom Bronele, who was killed in the Korean War. She is survived by her son Mitch, daughter Dawn (Mike) Gaz and numerous relatives. The burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery on Wednesday 3/19/2008 at 12 Noon, followed by a Memorial Mass at Holy Rosary Church in West Seattle at 1:30pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in mom's name to The Humane Society for Seattle/King County (425-641-0080), or plant a flower or tree in her memory. The family would like to thank all the neighbors, friends and staff at Swedish who provided wonderful support during mom's illness. Mom taught us how to live and die with dignity, humor and grace. We will miss her smile. Please sign our Guest book at www.Howden-Kennedy.com
