Lois Sundstrom Hall Obituary (1958

Lois Sundstrom HALL "Be anything you want to be - just don't be boring". Lois Sundstrom Hall was anything but boring. Master florist, artist, world's best pie baker, avid reader of hard-boiled detective novels, salty senior citizen, mother of nine, woman who refused to suffer fools. Dad drove the wood-paneled station wagon, Mom drove the Austin Healey. She always had dinner for 11 on the table promptly at 6, and encouraged lively conversation and plenty of wine. Mom created a new life for herself when Dad died too young, raising the 6 kids who were still at home and opening Master Florists, after a lifetime of working in the family business, Rosaia Brothers. A new chapter began when she reconnected with high school friend Duane Hall. They married and enjoyed a "golden years" romance until Dwan-o died. Mom continued cooking, gardening, and working in many artistic mediums until her quick mind, sharp tongue and wonderful wit were eroded by dementia. She was capable of surprising us with a salty remark right up until the end - glimpses of the woman we loved. Her last months were made easier due to the loving care provided by Traci Trygg and staff at "A Place to Go" in Bothell, WA. We love you, Mom; Judy, Susan, Ray, Joe, Laurie, B-Z, Lisa, Jamie and Jon.
