Linnea W Kronquist Obituary (1927

Linnea Westerberg Kronquist Linnea Westerberg Kronquist died on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 of complications from Parkinson's. She was 86. Linnea was born on May 2, 1927 in Summit, New Jersey. When Linnea was one year old, her family moved back to Sweden. Linnea returned to the States in 1949 at the age of 22. Soon after, Linnea met her future-husband Ted at a dance in the Scandinavian community, Vasa Park in Budd Lake, New Jersey. On April 6, 1951, Ted and Linnea married. They raised their family in Clifton, New Jersey and spent many summers at their second home in Budd Lake. Ted and Linnea were married for 60 years. Ted passed away in November 2011. Linnea worked for Continental Can Company until her retirement in 1990. She was active in the Vasa Order of America. Survivors include her daughter Pam, son-in-law Vince Madden and grand-daughter Christina Madden, all residing in Seattle. She also has extended family residing in New Jersey, North Carolina and Sweden. The family would like to thank the staff at Ida Culver House Broadview for their continuous care and support of Linnea during her seven-year residency. A private "Celebration of Life" Memorial for family and friends has been held.
