Kevin James Henderson
Died peacefully on May 23rd, surrounded by family.
Kevin fought a valiant battle with small-cell lung cancer. From the moment of diagnosis to the end, Kevin and his wife, Ardis (Dee), lived life much as they had for the previous 49 years of marriage: traveling, spending time with friends, and surrounding themselves with the joy of their children and five grandchildren. The days and months were rich with happiness and love.
Kevin graduated from O'Dea High School and received his undergraduate and MBA degrees from Seattle University and his JD from Loyola Marymount. He volunteered to serve his country in Vietnam as an Army Intelligence Specialist.
He served for 18 years on the board of Northwest Center and was the past Chair of the King County Board for Developmental Disabilities. However, his true source of pride was his family.
He is survived by his wife, Dee; sons, Sean(Erin), Timothy (Anna), and Joseph; five grandchildren; brother, Bob (Kathy); sister, Mary Jeanne (Ken) Davis; and many other loving family members.
For those that he touched, they will forever remember the kindness he so willingly shared, his humble spirit, and his strong heart.
The celebration of Kevin's life will take place on June 6th at 4:30 PM at
Our Lady of Fatima Church
in Magnolia.
