Kevin Michael Connolly

Born on October 5, 1955 in Rochester, New York to Luis Timothy and Rosemary Strittmatter Connolly, Kevin was the second of their five amazing children.
Kevin thought the world of his parents and siblings and was
the outstanding father, brother, son and husband he was because of them.

He had a strong work ethic throughout his life that he first developed as a youngster on his paper route.

As a young adult, Kevin worked for Kodak in Rochester, New York.
He first came to Seattle on a cross country road trip in 1978 and immediately fell in love with the beauty of the area.

Kevin greatly enjoyed living with his cousin and good friend, Tim, in his early years in Seattle. He was introduced to the love of his life, Sheila, by his best friend George in 1988, and they married on July, 1st 1989 at St. Joseph's Church.

He worked as a warehouse supervisor for Brooks Shoes, Wald Imports, Tommy Bahama,
The Olander Corporation, and most recently as a materials handler for Swedish Hospital First Hill.

Kevin's love for his children and sports were combined through
coaching his two sons in baseball and basketball. He always made sure every kid on the team got a chance to play.

Fond coaching memories were made with his close friend and cousin Dana throughout the years.
When his sons started curling he went to as many games as he could and became their number one fan.

While Kevin rarely missed watching a Seattle Mariners game, he joined his east coast family in loving all of the Pittsburgh sports teams. He loved to follow any and every aspect of Pittsburgh sports and was a huge Steeler fan.

The Pittsburgh Pirates were his true love, as were all things baseball.
Roberto Clemente was always Kevin's favorite sports player and role model, because of the player and man that he was.

Kevin's love of animals was shared with him by his daughter Emily.
They enjoyed mutually caring for their beautiful pets over the years,
especially Kelly, their Golden Retriever and their cats, Jeff and Smalls.

Kevin and Sheila always considered their three children: Patrick, Nick and Emily to be their greatest masterpieces.

Kevin Michael Connolly died peacefully in his home on Sunday, September 13, 2015.

He is survived by his wife, Sheila and his children Patrick, Nick and Emily. He is also survived by his parents, Tim and Rosemary Connolly, his brothers Timothy and Brian, his sisters, Kathy and Sharon and their extended families.
He considered his close friends to also be a part of his family.
How grateful he was for his life.

Funeral Mass will be Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 1PM at
St. John the Evangelist Church,
121 N. 80th St, Seattle.
