John McGillicuddy

Passed away Feb. 27, 2018 in Seattle, one month shy of his 94th birthday. Pat was born on March 23, 1924 in Raymond, WA and moved to Seattle at a young age. He put himself through O'Dea High School working as a pin-setter at the Ballard Bowl.

After proudly serving in the U.S. Army Air Corp, he graduated from Seattle University, and married the love of his life, Josephine McLean. Pat and Jo raised 3 children, worked hard, actively volunteered in the community, and enjoyed travelling until Jo's death in 2010 after 57 years of marriage. Pat worked for several local companies, retiring from Canal Industrial/ Paramount Supply, and was a drummer with the Keith Highlanders Pipe Band for 25 years.

Always a man of faith, he was an active parish volunteer at Our Lady of Fatima and a charter member of Knights of Columbus Council #8311. For the last eight years, Pat resided at Magnolia Home Care, following a stroke, where he received excellent care.

Pat is survived by daughters, Kerry Bauman (Jeff) and Shaun Wesen (Rich); son Kevin; 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Pat was preceded in death by his wife, Jo; sister, Betty Seifert; brothers, Gerald and Michael; and granddaughter, Lisa Wesen.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, March 16th at 10:00AM at
Our Lady of Fatima Church
3218 W Barrett St, Seattle, 98199.
