Gerald "Jerry" SIMICICH

Born May 6, 1923 in Seattle; passed away peacefully on August 21, 2013 in Bothell.

Jerry was a simple man with a big heart. He loved his family, all children and sports. Each season Jerry had high hopes for his hometown teams while looking forward to an occasional day at Emerald Downs.

Jerry was a well-known bartender for over 40 years in Seattle. He also commercial fished for several summers in Alaska.

He is survived by his children, Jerry (Linda) and Kathy Spalding (Dave); grandchildren, Scott (Adriana), Ryan (Lori), Sara Teuber (Stan), Annie Spalding, and Steve Spalding (Tatum); 5 great-grandchildren; his sister, Marie Bevacqua; a large extended family and many friends.

Jerry was preceded in death in 2011 by Joyce, his loving wife of over 65 years; in 2004 by his brother, Tom Simicich; and in 2008, by his grandson, John Spalding.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, September 13th at 11:00 AM at Christ the King Catholic Church, 405 N 117th St. Seattle, WA. 98133.
