Harry V. Purpur

Born December 24, 1943 in Grand Forks, ND; died, October 29, 2017 in Everett, WA.

Survived by Karen Scherrer Purpur, his loving wife of 52 years; children, Catherine (Scott Hanson) and Elizabeth (Sean McParland); grandchildren, Angela and Deon; his sister, Colleen Vlahovich; brother, Dan (Jeanne); his in-laws, Bonnie Landry (Al), Ron Bennett and Kathleen Scherrer; and their families.

Harry was an extraordinary man who spent his lifetime in service to others through Catholic Education, including schools in Washington: St. Mark, Bishop Blanchet HS, Archbishop Murphy HS (formerly Holy Cross), Visitation Parish, Superintendent of Catholic Schools Seattle Archdiocese, Our Lady of Perpetual Help/Immaculate Conception; in Florida: Superintendent of Catholic Schools Orlando Diocese, St. John the Evangelist, and Academy of the Holy Names; and in California: Ramona Convent Secondary School, and Holy Names HS.

He will forever remain in the hearts of all those he met along the way, and his humble spirit will always shine in the hallways
where he once walked.

Harry always said he loved women to wear hats to Church. Please feel free to do so!

Recitation of the Rosary will be Friday, November 3rd at 7:00 PM and the Funeral Mass will be Saturday, November 4th at 10:00 AM BOTH at
Holy Rosary Catholic Church
