Eugnia (Genie) Runke Obituary (1917

A transplanted Jerseyite who never lost her roots or her accent, Genie worked for many years in the house wares and drapery departments of Fredrick & Nelson. She met her Charlie, a transplant from Wisconsin, at Fauntleroy Church's Tandom Club party showing the movie "Camelot". She claimed to be more "Badger" than he. She was an active member of Fauntleroy Church, UCC and the Highland Improvement Club, where she served as treasurer for a time. She loved traveling the world with her Charlie. She is survived by two sons, Ralph and Peter (Debbie) and daughter Ruth Lisa (Dave). A memorial service will be held at Fauntleroy Church, 9140 California Ave SW, at 1:30PM on June 20th. A reception to follow.
