Eugene "Gene" Edward Frey

Born on May 24, 1926 in Portland Oregon. He died May 27, 2014 in Seattle surrounded by family. He was preceded in death by his father George Earl Frey, mother Justina Gertrude McVoy Frey, and brother's Clifford, John and James. He is survived by his wife Rose, son Mark Frey (Raven), daughter Kate Frey and grandson James.

He grew up in Seattle's Wallingford neighborhood attend St. Benedicts Elementary School and graduated Lincoln High School. Immediately following graduation he was drafted into the Army. He served during WWII in the Pacific theater with the 27th Infantry Division and later joined the 11th Airborne during the occupation in Japan. After returning from the war, he attended Seattle University on the GI Bill. He graduated with a Bachelor's in Business from Seattle University and went on to a career in Finance.

He lived in Seattle the majority of his life. He loved his dog, was an avid Seattle sports fan and had a dry sense of humor.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, May 31st at 11 AM at
St. Catherine Catholic Church
814 NE 85th St, Seattle.

Remembrances may be made to the St. Vincent DePaul Society, of St. Catherine, as it was his favorite charity.
