Eileen T. Sullivan A true Irish rose passed away at the age 87 on July 23, 2008 in her wonderful adult family home with family at her side. Eileen was born December 29th, 1920 and was raised in Clontarf, Minnesota as a young girl. Eileen's family moved from Minnesota to Seattle in 1930 in the midst of the American Great Depression and prospered with 12 children born of Mary Margaret and Daniel Henry Sullivan, and graduated from Immaculate High School in 1938. During and after her schooling, Eileen served with deep love and affection as a second mother to many of her siblings, including Margaret, Rita, Gladys, Francis, Clarence, Mary, Daniel, Andrew, John, Jean and Robert. After the tragic loss of her first husband Mike Capalletti in 1942 in combat over France during WWII, Eileen married a truly great man in Paul Sullivan, and their only child Joan was born in 1953. The family settled in Bellevue until the late 1960's when they moved to the Magnolia neighborhood. After Paul's death in 1974, Eileen continued to manage her business, stayed involved with the community including the Irish Heritage Club, and enjoyed her selfless commitment to family and friends. Eileen is survived by her daughter Joan and grandson Gregg.
