Dr. Eileen Collier Bouniol
August 18, 1923 - January 22, 2015

Age 91, of Seattle passed away peacefully in her sleep on the morning of January 22, 2015 at the Serene Garden Adult Family Home in Kenmore, WA.

Eileen was born on August 18, 1923 in Huddersfield, England to Charles and Edith (Bradley) Collier. She had two siblings - sister, Gwendolyn and brother, Raymond. Over her lifetime, Eileen was both a foreign languages teacher and law librarian who earned five advanced college degrees: a BA in Education from Wayne Teacher's College in Wayne NE; a Master of Arts in French from Indiana University in Bloomington, IN; a PhD in French from the University of Missouri in Columbia, MO; a Juris Doctor from St. Mary's School of Law in San Antonio, TX; and a Master of Law Librarianship from the University of Washington in Seattle, WA.

She is survived by her daughter, Margaret Bouniol of Kirkland, WA. She is predeceased by her parents, Charles and Edith Collier; foster-mother, Margaret Schemel; brother, Raymond Collier; and son-in-law, Mark Kaifer.

At Eileen's request there was no funeral or memorial service, but a celebration of life party was held on February 28, 2015.

In lieu of flowers, her daughter Margaret requests memorial donations be made to either Seattle Humane Society, 13212 SE Eastgate Way, Bellevue WA 98005 or Purrfect Pals Cat Rescue, 230 McRae Rd NE, Arlington, WA 98223.
