Donald L. NAVONI

Born on April 29, 1933 in Seattle, Washington to Ed and Ella Navoni, joining his older sister, Marilyn.

He graduated magna cum laude from Seattle University in 1955 and attended graduate school at St. Louis University, after which he served as an officer in the military. Upon his return to Seattle, Don earned his degree in law from the University of Washington Law School.

He married Dolores Hanauska and raised two daughters, Laura and Anne Marie. In 1968, at the age of 35, he was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, but his illness did not curtail his full and active life. He continued to practice law actively for 25 years. After the death of Dolores, Don married Kathleen Ryan. They loved to travel and enjoy the arts. Don was a founding member and Vice President of the Seattle Opera Company. In 2005, Seattle University honored him as "Distinguished Alumnus of the Year."

As his illness progressed, he moved to Providence Mount St. Vincent. On May 16, 2015, shortly after his 82nd birthday, Don died peacefully in the presence of his niece, Paula Mastro. Don is pre-deceased by his wife, Dolores, daughter, Laura, and sister, Marilyn Navoni.

Recitation of the Rosary will be Wednesday, May 20th at 3:45 PM and the Funeral Mass will be Thursday, May 21st at 9:30 AM BOTH at
Providence Mt. St. Vincent
4831 35th Ave S W, Seattle
