Clayborn Roy WILLIAMS, Jr. 6/23/25 - 10/19/13 After a year of failing health, our beloved father has passed into the loving arms of his heavenly Father, with our mother, Dorothy, waiting anxiously at His side. Clay is survived by his seven children, Arnie (Mary Jean)Williams -Angie, Stacy, Jeff, Brian; Dale - Michael, Alisha (Linda) Williams; Chris Williams; Terry (Greg) Baltzell - DeAnna, Matt, Brian; Steve (Monica ) Williams - Ashley, Sam, Hannah; Mary (Dan) Beard - Claire, Laura; Ken (Esmee) - Jon, Cate; and 22 great-grandchildren. Clay was preceded in death by the love of his life, Dorothy (2005), his parents, Clayborn R Williams, Sr. and his mother, Meta; sisters, Charlotte Semays and Marion Bowlby. Clay was born in Ilwaco, WA, and lived his formative years in Clallam Bay, WA, when his father was transferred there by the US Coast Guard as the keeper of the Slip Point lighthouse. In October of 1946, he married Dorothy Fitzpatrick in Port Angeles, WA, and moved to Seattle in 1947, where they raised their family in north Seattle. Clay was an entrepreneurial man and partnered or owned the following businesses during his lifetime. PBS Supply (1955-1972) partners - Vincent Strecker, Owen Strecker; Williams True Value Home Center (1972-1986); Li'l Chief Specialties (1986-1998). Clay and Dorothy were very involved in their church family at St. Matthew Catholic Church where their lives, as well as the lives of their children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren have been richly blessed with faith, friends and community. They were also members of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton in Mill Creek during the 1990's. During his years as a parishioner in both churches, Clay contributed his time serving the charities of St. Vincent DePaul and the Serra Club, as well as the parish council and many activities. Funeral Service will be held at St. Matthew Catholic Church 1240 NE 127th Street, Seattle, WA 98125. A reception will follow in the church hall.
