Cecile H. Klinge Obituary (1921

Cecile Helen KLINGE With family at her side, Cecile Helen Klinge passed away peacefully on September 4, 2012. She is survived by her daughter, Helen Cecile Mandley of Seattle, her two sons, Richard William Klinge of Wenatchee, Joseph Herman Klinge of Las Vegas, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Born in Los Angeles, California on November 9, 1923 to Effie Larkin Honan and William James Honan, Cecile was the younger of two girls. She and her sister attended Swiss boarding schools in Lausanne and the Immaculate Heart School in Los Angeles. Cecile met her husband of 55 years during World War II. Dick was a Navy pilot and commander stationed in the South Pacific. While on leave, he and Cecile married at Sacred Heart Church in Los Angeles on March 11, 1945. After the war the couple moved to Seattle where they raised their three children. Cecile was a devoted mother who enjoyed oil painting, gardening, and volunteering in her community. Her life was anchored by a strong faith and an unwavering love of family. For the past 15 years, Cecile had endured the debilitating effects of Alzheimer's with a simple grace.
