Carol Marie Fieser (nee Gerlinger)

Carol graduated to be with our Lord on March 3, 2015. She was born in Seattle on July 16, 1932 to Lawrence and Nellie Gerlinger. She attended St. Benedict's Elementary School and later went to Holy Angels High School.

At Seattle University, she met Bob Fieser and married in 1952. She became the super mother of 8 children, the foster mother of about 13 foster children, the grandmother of 17 grand-children, the great-grandmother of one great grandson, and a loyal and supportive friend to fellow parishioners at St. Matthew Church, fellow parents, neighbors, and relatives.

Together with her husband, she became an ardent fan, first of the Sonics, then the Mariners, and finally the Seahawks. She loved to help people in need and was generous to a fault. She enjoyed playing pinochle, watching Blue Bloods, reading inspirational stories, dining at Leena's Cafe, commiserating with people who were having a tough time, and talking with people before and after Mass.

Carol is survived by 8 children: Rob (Jane), Daryl (Mary), Jerry (Laura), Mary, Karen, Will (Marla), John (Melissa), and Pat (Megan), her brother-in-law Frank of Napa, CA, 17 grandchildren Matt, Marc, Luke, Aaron, Kevin, Megan, Michelle, April, Andreas, Anna, Katarina, Rachel, Cameron, Ashley, Jordan, Christopher and Benjamin, and one great grandson, Franklin. She is preceded in death by her husband Bob, her parents, Lawrence and Nellie; brothers; Wayne and Albert, a sister who died shortly after birth, and grandson, Seth Fieser. She will be sorely missed by the people who knew her.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, March 21st at 11:00 AM at
St. Matthew Catholic Church,
1240 N E 127th St, Seattle, 98125.

Remembrance may be made to St. Vincent de Paul or St. Matthew Church.
