Rev. Brian R. Snyder Obituary (1950

Father Brian SNYDER Born December 29, 1952; died May 14, 2014 after a long battle with cancer. He is survived by his siblings, Steven Snyder and Darla Lau, his nephew, Chance Lau, and niece, Jenny Lau. Although born in Yakima WA Brian spent most of his adult life in Western Washington where he graduated from RA Long High School in Longview, WA attended Saint Thomas seminary in Seattle and St. Patrick's in Menlo Park, CA. Ordained in May of 1979, he celebrated his First Mass at St. Rose in Longview. Father Brian's first assignment was St. Charles in Tacoma. He ministered for many years as the Hospital Chaplain at Virginia Mason, Harborview, and Swedish Medical Centers. His final assignment was at St. Stephen's in Renton and as the Chaplain at St. Joseph residence. He was a kind and giving person who will be remembered and missed by many. Recitation of the Rosary will be Wednesday, May 21st at 7:30 PM, the Funeral Mass will be Thursday, May 22nd, at 10 AM BOTH at St. Stephen the Martyr Church 13055 SE 192nd St, Renton 98058 Remembrances may be made to St. Stephen the Martyr Church.
