Benjamin F. "Tony" FORREST Born January 15, 1923 in Paris, France; died June 11, 2014 in Seattle. Survived by his children, Benjamin Forrest Jr. (Kristie), Suzanne Forrest (Rob Corkran), Ward Forrest (Theresa) and Dave Forrest (Barbara); 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and a large extended family. Preceded in death in 2003 by Elisabeth "Libby" Lay, his loving wife of 55 years; and his beloved grandson Tyler Franklin Forrest. Ben 'Tony' Forrest grew up in Manhasset, New York, moved to Seattle in 1948 and settled in Bellevue in 1951. He worked at the Boeing Company for 37 years. Ben was a devoted, adoring and dedicated father to his four children, who share his love of nature, beauty, physical activities and sports and who all aspire to inherit his wit and sense of humor. He was fondly regarded by friends for his positive attitude and love for life. He was the epitome of his generation, a man of integrity and no excuses, with a soft side. Ben took great pride in his service during WWII, where he fought as a B-17 ball-turret gunner in the 388th Bomb Group. His later years were highlighted by yearly participation in the 388th Bomb Group reunions, golfing, bridge, martinis and cigars with his buddies; and by regular spirited interaction with his children and their families.
