Born Barbara Catherine Coufal November 16, 1920 in Olivia, Minnesota.
Died January 5, 2015 after increasing health struggles.

Always a loving and faithful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Survivors include children Doug (Carol), Beaverton, Oregon; Janet (Jim), Mesa, Arizona; Patty (Bruce), Jeanne and Mark (Liz), all of Seattle; nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; her sisters Helen Durken (George) and Rose Wagner.

Mom moved to Seattle from Minnesota during World War II. Dad and Mom, married February 7, 1944, completed 62 years of marriage before Dad's death in 2006. Mom was always a wonderful wife, mother of five children, successful gardener, selfless supporter of her family, an amazing care giver after Dad's spinal cord injury; always loving, frugal and dependable. Once widowed, Mom courageously continued strong until God took her home after increased health complications. Mom's faith never waivered. Her smile, love, loyalty and encouragement will always be appreciated and never forgotten.

Rosary will be Monday, January 12, at 10:30 AM, and the Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 5041 9th NE, Seattle. Internment, Holyrood Cemetery.
