Barbara Bussman

–

Seattle, WA

Henry and Barbara Bussman passed away together in their sleep, October 13, 2021. It was a shock to family and friends but also a blessing, as they lived a beautiful, long life together.
Barbara Giuntoli Bussman was born in Seattle on February 19, 1935 to parents Leo and Viola Giuntoli. She grew up in West Seattle with her younger brother Robert. She graduated from West Seattle high school and from Seattle University with a degree in Nursing. Barbara worked for the King County Public Health Department for 28 years.
Hank and Barbara met through Holy Rosary both having attended grade school. They got married at Holy Rosary church on June 3, 1961. They built a house in West Seattle where they lived for the past 55 years, raising their children, Marie, Joe, Bob and Theresa. All went on to graduate from four separate colleges.
Their life was committed to the Lord and enjoyed serving God and others. They were always there for others with prayers and words of encouragement.
They were very involved with their Seattle University friends. They had countless gatherings and vacations with them and enjoyed entertaining. They also taught their kids to ski and appreciate the fine arts. They had season tickets to various theater groups such as the Paramount and 5th Avenue, ballet and opera. They loved to go out to dinner and end with a night of dancing or show.
They enjoyed traveling and upon retirement you would find them on a Holland America cruise ship seeing the world.
They are survived by their children Marie Balsoma, Joseph Bussman, Robert Bussman and Theresa Bussman.
They were inseparable in life and in death and are truly missed by their family and friends. May God Bless them.
