Alvah Francis GRAVES Born January 17, 1925 in Wichita, Kansas, son of Florence and Alvah Graves. Died in the arms of Helen, his beloved wife of 68 years, Sunday, June 8, 2014. With his wife, Helen; he is survived by his children, Patricia (Frank) Olsen, Sharon (Glen), McConnachie, Maureen (Paul) Weatherly, Margaret Elliott, Jim (Peggy) Graves, Richard Graves, Mary (Jerry) Napolitano, Barbara (Michael) Hills and Carrie (Greg) Prentice; grandchildren, Joe, Chris, Stephan, Richard, Frank, Andrew, Ashley, Taylor, Erica, Austin, Ryan and Kaden; and great-grandchildren, Mikyla, Felicity, Michael, Samantha, Lauren and Hanna. He was a proud Marine who survived four combat landings in World War II, and received the "Purple Heart" twice. He had a distinguished career with United Parcel Service. After retirement he volunteered 16 years with Toys for Tots and served many years as a Eucharistic Minister at St. Luke Catholic Church.
