Statement from Columbia Funeral Home
We are Still Here to Serve You
In the early morning hours of July 30, 2025, Columbia Funeral Home, a long-standing family-owned business, experienced a devastating fire that authorities are currently investigating as an act of arson. While our historic facility has suffered significant damage, our commitment to the families we serve remains stronger than ever.
We want to assure the community that Columbia Funeral Home will continue to provide funeral services during this time. Our dedicated staff is actively working to ensure that every loved one in our care is treated with the dignity and respect they deserve. We are in direct contact with affected families and are making every effort to address their needs with urgency, transparency, and compassion.
We are also partnering with local organizations and sister funeral homes to maintain uninterrupted service and uphold the highest standards of care. The safety and proper care of your loved ones remain our top priority.
We are incredibly grateful to the Seattle Fire Department and local authorities for their swift response and continued investigation. We also deeply appreciate the outpouring of support from our community. It has been a powerful reminder of why we do what we do.
Since 1907, Columbia Funeral Home has been a pillar of the Rainier Valley community. While our building has suffered a loss, our mission, staff, and service to the community remain intact and unwavering. We are here for you now and always.
If you have questions, need support, or are facing the loss of a loved one, please reach out. Further updates will be shared as new information becomes available.
