Mrs. Dolleana Akridge Wilburn, age 84, passed away at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, Washington, on Sunday, June 10, 2012.
Born October 3, 1927, in Birmingham, Alabama, she lived in Ohio, before settling in Seattle for a job at Boeing. Dolleana was a mother and mentor to many through her work in Foster & Receiving Home Care until retiring in 1984, at which time she ran a daycare until 1992
Dolleana leaves to cherish her memory, her sons Carl Bryant and Andrew Snow, her daughter Julie Washington, her nieces Joan Scoggins, Joyce Scoggins, JoAnne White; nephews Gregory Scoggins, Michael Scoggins, Jonathan Scoggins, Leroy Akridge, and Anthony Akridge. Also her Granddaughter Carrie Bryant and Great-Granddaughter Breyahna Coston. She will forever live in the hearts of all the foster children she raised.
Dolleana was preceded in death by her husband, George Wilburn, her sister Annabelle Scoggins, brothers James Akridge and Roy Akridge, and her loving parents, Carrie Hall Akridge and James Akridge Sr.
